END TIME: Part 5: The Righteous, the Blind and the Cults
The last two assemblies or groups of called-out people are probably the most well-known and the least understood. In the previous posts on the promises to overcomers, I wrote how all the problems that threatened the people were spiritual and caused by religions.
In this Bible study we will see those who remained unaffected by religion and those who created their own. Remember all groups or assemblies of people written about in chapters two and three of the Book of Revelation consist of people who had received the call. But again, “Many are called.”
Why someone would want to create their own religion is not a big mystery. The biggest reason is because they don’t want to have anything to do with the religions that afflicted the other groups. Their eyes may have been opened to the problems of the other groups. But instead of moving into truth, they adopted traditions and practices from sources unknown to the other groups or assemblies, and made those their own. To quote the SNL Church Lady, “How convenient!”
Looking around to see how others “worship” and adopting their ways has been and still is the biggest step to creating a nation doomed to spiritual failure. The Unites States and all of Western civilization are nations that have done that.
The most difficult task is to become humble as a person and as a nation and learn the truth by obtaining the spiritual connection with Elah [God] and Eyahuwah the One called LORD in the scriptures. In other words, returning to the righteousness of our fathers, from Adam, through Enoch, Noah and his sons, the fathers of all who live today, and through Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, if you can call them your fathers. Then you will learn the truth; your life will be changed; your future will be assured; and you will fear nothing. This is true for individuals. It is true for nations.
Many are put off by the hypocrisy and ignorance of those who blindly and unrighteously follow religious dogma, traditions, “accepted” practices, and “convenient” use of Scripture to “justify” what they do. And in their “putting off” they turn their backs on the truth and suffer. Direct intervention by Eyahuwah has already started in the world. And it will continue until only that which cannot be destroyed remains:
“An end! The end has come upon the four corners of the land. Now the end is upon you, and I shall send My displeasure against you, and judge you according to your ways, and repay you for all your abominations. And My eye shall not pardon you, nor would I spare, for I repay your ways while your abominations are in your midst. And you shall know that I am Eyahuwah!”
Thus said the Master Eyahuwah:
“A calamity, an only calamity, look, it has come! An end has come, the end has come! It has awakened against you, look, it has come! The turn has come to you, O inhabitants of the land. The time has come, a day of uproar is near, and not a day of rejoicing in the mountains.
“Soon I shall pour out My wrath, and shall complete My displeasure upon you, and judge you according to your ways, and repay you for all your abominations. And My eye shall not pardon, nor would I spare, I give you according to your ways while your abominations are in your midst. And you shall know that I am Eyahuwah who smites.” Ezekiel 7 (The Scriptures)
The Message to the Called-out People in Philadelphia
And to the messenger of the assembly in Philadelphia write:
“He who is set-apart; He who is true; He who has the key of David; He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens, says this:”
This is about the One who has the right (”the Key of David”) and the power to do what is true and necessary to bring the people to their intended place in the universe.
“I know your works — see, I have set before you an open door, and no one is able to shut it — that you have little power, you have guarded My word, and have not denied My name.
“Works” is the evidence of a faithful person. James wrote,
My brothers, what use is it for anyone to say he has belief but does not have works? The belief is unable to save him!
And if a brother or sister is naked and in need of daily food, but one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,” but you do not give them the bodily needs, what use is it?
So also belief, if it does not have works, is in itself dead. But someone [of you] might say you have belief and I have works. Show me your belief without your works, and I shall show you my belief by my works. James 2 (The Scriptures)
Those that truly believe will demonstrate what they believe by their actions or works. In this case these have “little power.” They don’t belong to powerful organizations or have worldly prestige. They are most often alone, not part of any organized group. But they do the important thing: they guard the words of Eyahuwah/Eyahushuah and do not deny His name. In other words, they do not care about the words of a guru or bow down to a supposed “apostle” like Paul or other church or religious leaders. But they do have a little power, and an “open door” for doing what must be done, which no one can shut!
See, I am giving up those of the congregation of Satan (the adversary), who say they are Yahudim (”Jews”) and are not, but lie. See, I am making them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.
These were mentioned before regarding the people at Smyrna. The difference between them and the people of Philadelphia is that they in Smyrna suffered at the hands of those who claimed to be “Jews.” Although their suffering was only a short time. But in both cases a reference is made to the “congregation of Satan.” However, here shows that those of that congregation will come and worship at the feet of the “loners” of Philadelphia.
Who is the congregation of Satan, who claims that they are Jews but lie?
I was sent a comment to the post I had written about Contextual Thinking. In the comment I was asked if I knew about a particular individual, Ronald Weinland, who appeared to be writing things similar to what I had written. But Weinland went beyond that to make claims that he was appointed to be one of the two witnesses, and not only that, he claimed he was “the spokesman” for the two witnesses! I decided to get a copy of his book and fortunately I did not have to spend any money because it was available as a PDF file. The book does sound, as I said, similar, but only in some places. The rest is completely contrary or “adversarial” to most of what you will read in my Bible study books or posts.
Ronald is a pastor of a church belonging to the Worldwide Church of God. After the death of Armstrong, the church fractured into many offshoots. This congregation keeps the Jewish Feasts and Holy Days according to the Jewish/Babylonian calendar that the Pharisees brought back from exile in Babylon after the destruction of Solomon’s temple. The congregation is also a follower of Paul, the Pharisee to the churches. To the devout followers of Armstrong, the term “Church of God” is an icon. Nearly all of the splinter churches use the structure “[name] Church of God.” For example, “The Philadelphia Church of God” takes the name from the passage of Revelation about which I am writing. Armstrong taught that what you have been reading about the different groups or assemblies refers to Church eras, that is, different sequential eras of the “Church of God” or “God’s Church” as they like to be called.
Ron Weinland’s accuses the Protestant churches of adopting the practices of the Catholic Church. But what he failed to realize is that the use of the word “Church” also came from the Catholics. Tyndale was strangled and burned up by the English church because he refused to use the corrupt word, church, and chose instead to use congregation. The word incorrectly translated “church” in the English translations refers to “groups of called-out people,” which can be any group except the church with its structure, rules, traditions and doctrines.
There are three groups who will be held accountable: the leaders of nations, the true priests, and those who teach and hold people accountable to the law but with partiality. Ok, four: those who deceive the masses.
So about what are the “Armstrongites” lying?
If you have read much of what I have written in these Bible studies, you should understand that the Feasts and High or Holy days were never meant to be kept on the Babylonian lunar calendar. Placing the Set-apart days on the lunar calendar causes them to fall on “unclean days,” according to the Prophets.
The actual calendar was revealed to our father Enoch, a lost prophet to many, as a perpetual calendar established for the world and its people until the new heavens and the new earth are created. Only on this calendar can we understand not only the period of the 1,335 days, but also what Feast that is and therefore why it is important for all humankind and the rest of creation as well. That Enoch’s 364 day calendar doesn’t fit our current solar year of 365.242 days is irrelevant. The extra day came as a result of the change in the earth’s atmosphere and the rotation speed at the time of Noah, about which I wrote. The extra 1.242 days is a consequence of human wickedness and evil works. It should not even be counted in the week. This is exactly what some of the ancients did. They let the extra day or so pass without including it as a weekday. So you might come to the third day of the week, and ignore the next one or two days, and then start again on the real fourth day. The calendar always started on the fourth day of the week and at the time of the spring equinox in the northern hemisphere.
Concerning the keeping of the Jewish Feasts and Holy Days and the Jewish Sabbath on the Jewish calendar: I know of no other congregation that is as large and (at one time) influential that does this apart from the followers of Armstrong. By doing this, they claim by inference that they are “Jews.” They also claim that they are teaching and following the Torah. However, this is not something placed, as if by default, in the hands of a religion, but rather this belongs to the leaders of nations and true priests.
So the first lie is that they kept the Feasts and Holy Days as “God commanded them.”
And here is the reply to those who do this wickedness and teach others to do the same:
Says Eyahuwah of Armies:
“And now, O priests, this command is for you: If you do not hear, and if you do not take it to heart, to give esteem to My Name, I shall send a curse upon you, and I shall curse your blessings. And indeed, I have cursed them, because you do not take it to heart. See, I shall rebuke your seed, and scatter dung before your faces, the dung of your festivals. And you shall be taken away with it [dispersed]. And you shall know that I have sent this command to you, as being My covenant with Levi,” says Eyahuwah of Armies.
“My covenant with him was life and peace, and I gave them to him, to fear. And he feared me, and stood in awe of my Name. The Torah of truth was in his mouth and unrighteousness was not found on his lips. He walked with Me in peace and straightness, and turned many away from crookedness. For the lips of a priest should guard knowledge, and they seek the Torah from his mouth, for he is the messenger of Eyahuwah of Armies.
“But you, you have turned from the way. You have caused many to stumble in the Torah. You have corrupted the covenant of Levi, and I also, I shall make you despised and low before all the people, because you are not guarding My ways, and you are showing partiality in the Torah! Malachi 2 (The Scriptures)
The covenant was with Levi to teach the people the Torah. But religions, either from the Pharisees, or from self-appointed leaders, who attempt to influence people wrongly fall under this curse.
The second lie is that they are the “One True Church.”
They are not. I wrote about that in another post.
The third lie is that when “Jesus Christ” (their words) returns, only “God’s Church” (their words) will be resurrected to “immortality” and only the people that survive the tribulation will remain.
Daniel and Ezekiel show that others will be resurrected to mortality, and in particular, the whole house of Israel (Jacob)!
The fourth lie is that their form of church government is what Jesus wanted for his Church.
Not so. Jesus asked his disciples if they saw how the nations loved to rule or lord over their people. Then he taught them, “It shall not be so among you.” The greatest leader would be the servant of all. Armstrong followed Paul’s structure and ordained his ministers as Evangelists, Pastors, Elders, and Deacons. They were given “authority” to rule over the people. Any who questioned their authority and the rules of the Church of God could and were expelled. Well, if someone saw the fallacies of that way, how liberating it must have been for him or her to be set free from this tyranny? While others who fell from “their grace” may have suffered bitter remorse.
The fifth lie is that they claimed they were the “Philadelphia era of the Church.”
They may have been given a chance (an open door) to grow into something helpful to the people of the world, however, they stumbled over their own blindness and their worship of Armstrong and the teachings of the ministry of the Worldwide Church of God. Obviously, they are not now and probably never were part of the Philadelphia group.
But is there a place for them among these groups? We shall see.
Was Herbert Armstrong in error concerning many of his findings? Of course, but his message about the destiny of humanity and the coming Kingdom of God on the earth was correct, and that was his primary calling. However, the mistake of the ministry was their politics and their lust for power. They set up a “church government” whereby any who questioned or sought truth were expelled. They thought they were following Herbert Armstrong, but were they? The next post in this series provides some insight into the dynamics of this relationship.
Unquestionably following any error was and still is a powerful cult syndrome and must be overcome by those who are still caught in it, including Ronald Weinland, the one who claims to be one of the two witnesses.
Promises to the Philadelphians
Because you have guarded My Word of endurance, I shall guard you from the hour of trial, which shall come upon all the world, to try those who dwell on the earth. See, I am coming speedily! Hold what you have that no one take your crown.
Perhaps, you noticed, or maybe not, but there is an end of the age context in which all of these groups seem to exist. Forget about the Asia Minor “mail route” idea. What has been promised to all groups, which seems to include many people, is in the context of the end of our age. It doesn’t imply anything later, only what is about to happen shortly!
He who overcomes, I shall make him a supporting post ( a pillar) in the Dwelling Place of My Elah (Father), and he shall by no means go out. And I shall write on him the Name of My Elahim (Family), and the name of the city of My Elahim (Family), the renewed Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My Elahim, and My renewed Name.
Being blessed to be able to have “little power” and an open door that none can shut is in itself a great blessing.
He who has an ear to hear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies.

Dr. Sakach,
I would like to thank you for responding to my comment with regards to Ronald Weinland. I actually did not think you would pay much attention to the comment, however you have addressed it fully. I have not read his book as of yet, but at a glance noticed some similarities. You have shown clear distinctions, one of which(the first red flag in my mind) regarding the days of observing the Holy Days. I went to the church website and found the dates of observance to be the same as that of the Hebrew/Babylonian calender. Anyways, thank you again for your prompt and detailed response.
In His Name, Jonathan
Jonathan,
Again thank you for your comment. As I anticipated writing the next two posts in this series, I felt something was missing. Without your comment, I would not have thought about Armstrong and the Worldwide Church of God. But it became clear afterward that they and others like or similar to them do have a place among the Seven Lampstands or “assemblies.”
Shalom,
Timothy Sakach, Ph.D.
Mr. Weinland claims to be a prophet and an end-time witness. Do you want to know who Mr. Weinland states is the 2nd end-time witness? In an audio sermon, “Gods Prophecy, part 2” approximately 55 minutes into the sermon, Mr. Weinland discusses the 2nd end-time witness. He describes the 2nd witness as belonging to their organization and that the identity of this witness must remain a secret. No one is too discuss this matter with anyone. God will give the identity of the 2nd witness during the last 3 and one-half year tribulation. Mr. Weinland describes this witness as a person who is a confidant and has witness beside him, since the fall of the WCG during December 1994. He does not come out and specifically say who this witness is, but does infer that it is his wife. Mr. Weinland in his latest book (God’s Final Witness) does make reference to the fact [not a fact, but a supposition] that he is the spokesman for both witnesses. So, if Mr. Weinland’s wife is the 2nd witness, then she does not need to speak because Mr. Weinland is spokesman. He also claims that many scattered church members will not believe this to be true because they have preconceived ideas of how God works. A woman witness just does not fit into the equation. This audio sermon “God’s Prophecy, part 2) can be located at http://www.rweinland.com/sermons/.
I would recommend that you also read this post that explains the vision of Zechariah where Joshua, the high priest, and Zerubbabel (two men} were seen and explained in the same terms used for the two witnesses in Revelation 11. Some think this only applied to those real men at that time, which you can read in Ezra and Nehemiah. The history did, but the vision is for our time!
If Ron Weinland is one of the two-witness, I would be inclined to think that the vision of Joshua in Zechariah would apply to him, because he is still trying to sell Armstrongism. And I wrote in other comments and posts that those teachings must be overcome, along with the Armstrong mindset. Joshua was clothed in filthy rags and before he could be ready to perform his duties, he had to be cleaned up. So, too, does Mr. Weinland.
If he is one of the two witnesses, as he claims, then his life is about to change dramatically in the next few months. If, as he says, God is preparing him, then watch what happens shortly.
He claims that his “witness” is verified by what he (and perhaps, his wife, as you say) “witnessed” happening in the “Church” meaning the remnants of the Worldwide Church of God. That is not two independent witnesses. That is collusion: “a secret agreement or cooperation for an illegal or deceitful purpose!”
A spiritual witness is one who is faithful to the truth, like an “expert witness.” Jesus said, “I came to bear witness to the truth.” If the truth only means the events of WCG, that could be a mistake, because they are not living the truth. They may desire to do righteousness, but their leaders led them astray. Therefore, they must have their eyes opened so they can see the truth, from a faithful witness, who also knows the truth about all these matters. Furthermore, it is far more likely that the other witness would not belong to that church, nor be a member of the same family, nor even know Weinland.
A fire has been lit, and it will burn up the dross and impurities in the “churches” of this world, including the Worldwide Church. This is necessary to prepare the people who desire the Kingdom of Elahim:
What happens if what you think is the truth turns out to be a “man-made” religion brought back after the 70 years exile? So it is when keeping the Feasts and High days on unclean days, as Weinland and his followers do. If they are open to the Spirit, then sooner, hopefully, or later their eyes will be open to this, too.
And again, about our time:
What I said before, I say to you again, “Watch!”
Mr. Weinland admits and will declare that he is a false prophet if his prophesies do not come to pass in April. We do indeed have only a short time to see if Ron is a prophet of God. In his most recent sermons, he is preparing his church congregation for these upcoming events. Ron just promoted two of his elders to the status of evangelist. There will be multiple ordinations in the upcoming months promoting people to elders. These promotions are necessary in order to fill the need for baptising many tens of thousands of people that God will call during this tribulation period. This is the latest news. Its hard to believe that he genuinely believes that this is all true. He is spending millions on this crusade. Giving books for free and spending money on shipping cost. He is also spending mega bucks on advertising on the internet. Google and search such terms as “prophecy, or end times” and his organization or books come up first. After researching Weinland and his materials, it is evident from what he has commented, that his organization cannot be more than 350 people worldwide. Obviously, his organization is probably growing as a result of all of this attention.
Travis,
I had no knowledge about any of his prophecies. I did not finish his book because it evolved into classic Armstrongism. I guess I should dig deeper to see what Ron Weinland is getting all excited about.
I have only listened to the sermon you mentioned in your previous comment for which I provided the link to the MP3 file. I tried to listen to a couple of others, but I found them very dead, boring, and self-serving.
He is deeply immersed into the past and into the teachings of Herbert W. Armstrong (HWA), which is surprising because Ron talks much about the future. Although his view of prophecy may be influenced somewhat by what is happening to the world, spiritually, he drags into that the ideas of HWA, which for the most part were not original with HWA.
In the late 1960s and early 1970s HWA ran into a problem with his book “1975 in Prophecy” because things were not happening in the world inline with what he wrote. 1975 came and went and the world doesn’t think anything special about that year.
If Ron Weinland is walking around in Armstrong’s world, he may wind up as lost and frustrated as HWA was. What happened to the Worldwide Church is that they had no idea about the game they were playing. The game was created by HWA, and many people got caught up in it thinking it was for real! But that reality is and was not the Reality our righteous fathers, the true prophets, and the true apostles understood, wrote about, and looked forward to.
I am finding out from some reactions to what I write, it takes the Spirit, working in the hearts and minds of people to understand what is in this blog. I gave a copy of my book to a friend, and no matter how hard he tried, he could not understand what it was about. But others understood and were moved to tears as they read it, because the true Reality offers tremendous hope — for the world!
It is a good possibility that Ron Weinland’s intentions are self-serving, but I can’t understand why any sane person would subject themselves to this type of situation. In Ron’s latest book, he wrote,
Ron believes the Great Tribulation begins in April and continues for three and half years. It all ends with the second coming of Christ on Thursday, September 29, on the feast of Trumpets. As one of the two witnesses his death is 3 and a half days earlier. It just happens to be a Saturday morning. He dies on his 7th day Sabbath. The second coming of Christ is actually on Wednesday evening near sunset, because of his belief that a day starts at sun down. So, Jesus Christ’s second coming is on a Wednesday, the same day of the week that he died some 2000 years ago. Armstrong taught that Jesus died on the following evening after the passover, prior to the annual Sabbath observance of the first day of Unleavened Bread. Of course this day was on a Wednesday, and Jesus Christ was resurrected three days later on the eve of Sabbath. Weinland does speak that the Great Tribulation is to begin in April and gives the date for the return of Christ. If the calculations are correct, the great tribulation will begin April 12, 2008, one week before the passover. April 12, 2008, is on the Sabbath.
If Ron is true and he is truly inspired by God, then it could be interpreted that God has not been working to save the masses of our world. All of our churches would have been in error and not of God. Weinland’s doctorine is claiming that God has only been working with 144,000 people, as described in Revelation, over the course of 6000 years. These same 144,000 people will be resurrected at the time of Christ’s second coming. These will be the kings and priest that will rule with Christ for the next 1000 years. The rest of man will die and be resurrected at the end of the 1000 year period. This is the Great White Throne Judgment. This judgment period will last for 100 years and all of mankind will be given opportunity to be instructed in God’s ways and then will choose whether they will obey God. If they chose disobedience, then they will not be granted eternal life. So, goes the story of Weinland. Many may interpret this as a forced obedience in order to obtain eternal life. This is only my perception. God knows what is in the heart and the mind. Especially, considering that Weinland does not believe in a heaven or hell, and many people have the perception that human beings are eternal beings and will goto heaven or hell upon death. Weinland’s teachings are stirring up quite a bit of controversy, because these beliefs are in opposition to what many people have been taught from childhood.
What Ron spouts are nothing new concerning Armstrong. But he is providing new dates, which he cannot do because he does not have the understanding and knowledge. This is evident by his lack of understanding of the Scriptures. He is really hung-up on what he learned from HWA.
Keep in mind that in WCG no one was ever allowed to question HWA or any of the ministers. And the ministers could not question anything about what HWA taught. Instead of allowing the Spirit to teach him, Ron worships HWA and follows his lead.
And this is about to come to an end: either he repents and gets cleaned up, or he continues on as a test for those who hear him.
Which will people believe, the false teachings of the deceased Herbert Armstrong and the incredulous musings from Ron Weinland, or will they heed the words of Eyahushauh/Eyahuwah as revealed to each individual by the Spirit apart from false teachers?
Also consider: truth is not the product of polls about human belief systems. There are 6.6 billion religions in the world today. Each person has his or her own. To find those who agree on something is not evidence. It is a fact that people might think something is true or false, or feel this way or that way about a subject, but that does not provide evidence concerning the subject about which they opine.
I listened to another of Ron’s sermons. Try to figure this out.
He claims that the one he calls YHVH and the one he calls “Jesus Christ” are two different entities. And that YHWH is the Father, according to HWA. The vocabulary of the WCG is part of its downfall. HWA and Ron make an icon out the phrase transliterated from the Greek, “Yehsous Christos.” Doing so bypasses the real name and its meaning. From the Hebrew His name is transliterated Eyahushuah, which we transliterate “Joshua” from the Aramaic! However, transliteration means nothing and says nothing about who the person is. My name “Timothy” is a handle, just as Zahyit is. What matters is not the tag, but what the name says about the person, who he is and what he does. Getting beyond the icon “Jesus Christ” and into the real meaning of His name, tells us the truth about Who He really is and what He will do!
So putting “Eyahushuah” together with “Messiah,” we have this understanding from the translation of His Name:
The messenger Gabriel told Mary, “You are to call Him, Eyahushuah, for He shall deliver the people from their sins.” That means that Gabriel knew who He was and what he would do. The part “He who exists” is spelled from Ancient Hebrew vowels that make up the name Eyahuwah, which is most often erroneously transliterated as YHVH or Yahweh. If the one we clumsily call “Jesus” was the one would save the people from their sins and His name tells us that “Yahweh is the deliverer or savior” then following the rules of simple logic: “Jesus is Yahweh.”
This is what John 1 and I John try to tell us, what the Book of Hebrews says, and what Peter said in Acts 2 contrary to the twisting of Scripture performed by Ron Weinland.
In the Hebrew Scriptures, Eyahuwah declares, “I am the savior (deliverer) and there is no other.” He is the one who “took upon the form of a servant [as He described in Isaiah 53] and became obedient to death.”
The problem of Ron Weinland was described so clearly in his sermon when he declared that we don’t need the Scriptures, all we need to do is listen to what he says. That is what the Catholic church did for a very long time. The concept is part of the apostasy, and is used to keep people in darkness.
Keep reading the posts in this blog, and pray that the Spirit of Elahim will guide your path.
All the best,
Timothy Sakach
The last chapter of Ron Weinland book, 2008 God’s final witness, is quite interesting. It also may be of interest to you. In this last chapter, Ron discusses that Jesus Christ was a man and did not live prior to his earthly existence. God the father was the only God that was eternal and the creator. The angels, man and Jesus Christ were all created beings. This is contrary to Herbert Armstrongs teaching. Even Armstrong believed that Jesus Christ existed prior to being born a physical man. Ron argues that Jesus Christ was a man, and God the Father’s spirit dwelled in him from birth. He believes that Jesus Christ was the first of the First Fruits to be born into his family. Herbert Armstrong’s main premise was that God was creating a family and man would become a part of his family. Thus, Christ was the first to be resurrected into that family. If my mind serves me correctly, there were early church officials who believed this same doctorine, but these ideas were silenced by the Catholic Church. In his book, he discusses and provides an interpretation of why this is the truth as he believes.
If these words are true and Ron does give accurate interpretation of this belief, than it could be interpreted that God is indeed expanding his family. In main line Christianity, the belief of the “Trinity” is paramount, and Weinland implies that the Trinity Doctorine is a “Closed Family.” Thus, Weinland concludes that the Trinity Doctorine does not allow for the expansion of God’s family. This could be quite controversial for many who do believe in the Trinity.
Why would it matter today, if Jesus was in existence prior to his earthly mortal existence? If Christ was already eternal was it possible for him to give up his eternal existence and die as a man? I think that it was written in scripture, that spirit will never die, but that which is composed of physical matter will die. It is obvious that Christ was a man and made of physical matter. He did die a physical death and was resurrected after 3 days. If Christ was indeed spiritual and physical at the same time, then upon his physical death he would not be in need of a spiritual resurrection, because he would aready be eternal. But, in scripture, Christ is resurrected from the dead. If Christ could give up his eternal existence to become a physical man, then God can die. It is also written in scripture that God can not die because he is eternal. These are two conflicting view points. This can be confusing and very controversial to many. I also know that God is not the author of confusion and I John 2:21, states that “…no lie is of the truth,” but the truth is always subjective depending on everyones beliefs and how they interpret the truth.
Did Satan and his fallen angels squelch this information about Christ in order to hide this truth? Why would Satan want to hide the fact that God is expanding his family? Why would he care? Satan is eternal and is going to live forever. He understands that God Almighty is his creator and is all powerful. He understands that God means what he says. Satan knows what is written in Revelation 20, regarding his confinement. In the book of Matthew, Christ cast out a multitude of Demons that were dwelling in people. These demons asked Christ why he was there and if he was going to torment them before their appointed time. These demons knew the judgment that God had declared to them, and they knew how much time that they had left before this final judgment. Are we finally there, living in the end-times?
Great analysis!
The key to understanding the prophecies of Scripture was removed from the people at the time the “Canon” was determined by a bunch of religious men.
My approach, considering the influence that “Babylon” had on both Christians and Jews, “came upon me” (if I can say that) when I was in my second year of college. I was looking out a third story window, which looked over the front campus. The question that came to me and continues with me for these many years afterward, was,
The rest of my life was directed in pursuit of the answer to that question. I went to school intending to “go into” the ministry. That never happened, primarily because of that question. But I can say now after decades of research that I understand the answer and it is buried in the many pages of the blog.
The key that was removed was the material, books, and documents that the Apostles used to write their books and letters. For example, the Book of Revelation, written by John, contains images and words that came from I Enoch, and from Ezekiel, Daniel, Zechariah, and probably from other sources. This was in addition to the visions he was given. Jude quoted directly from Enoch, and Peter made reference to it. Daniel knew about Enoch, and nearly every prophet in the Hebrew Scriptures was influenced by Enoch’s visions. Moses also was instructed by Enoch whose writings included the vision of what happened to Moses as he led Israel out of Egypt.
I am currently editing the translation of I Enoch by R. H. Charles to improve sentence structure, replace the “thee” and “thou” words and the words that are more or less obsolete in today’s language.
Second, I discovered that the New Testament is not as trustworthy as most think. The primary problem is the overshadowing influence of Paul, who remained a Pharisee and led the early Christians into spiritual trouble by using the tactics of Balaam. Thus the people became cut off from the real spiritual connection that would have prevented them from entering the Dark Ages, and would have delivered them from the almost two millennial-long apostasy that characterized the seventh age of Enoch’s vision — the age in which we live.
Now back to your comment. Ron apparently has never read the Book of Enoch. Enoch was given a vision of what happened before there was a universe. As I wrote early on, there was a time before the beginning. Elah did create the Elahim, a spiritual household which included the messengers, the cherubim, seraphim, etc., and He also created the Son of Man who was chosen before the earth existed to take over the rule of the world. He was also given the authority to raise the dead from their graves, before there was any dead! And there is also the Lord of Spirits, whom I believe became known as the Father, when Jesus was conceived. And there is the Head or Ancient of Days. Many, many questions are answered by Enoch’s visions and revelations, and if we knew this there would not be any speculations like those that come from Ron Weinland, Tim LaHaye, Paul Hague, Hal Lyndsay, TBN, and even Bart Ehrman, Hank Hanesgraaff, and all the church sponsored Bible schools and seminaries.
It is true that the man we call Jesus did not exist as a man before he was born. But He did exist as Eyahuwah (Yahweh). Both Isaiah 53 and David’s Psalm 110 were written by the Spirit of Eyahuwah in Isaiah and David to prophecy about this coming Man: Eyahuwah in the flesh. He was revealing in word what He was later going to fulfill by His coming to “his own” and setting up “his tent or booth” with us. This is the core subject of Book of Hebrews.
He had to come in the flesh to
The one we call Jesus really is the first born from the dead.
He is the Wave Sheaf, and we are the Wave Loaves. He is “not ashamed to call us Brothers.” His Father is our Father. His Family, Elahim, is our Family. This is what the Scriptures and the true Apostles taught! Not some nonsense about the Greek “immortal soul” or about “crossing over the river.” Or about following false prophets, that is, like those in the list above!
The Apostles, according to some documents, taught that there was a “trinity” but not the way the Church teaches. There is a Father, a Son, and a Mother (the Holy Spirit). This is graphically represented by the “Star of David.” We are made children of the Father by His desire through the act of conception. From then on we reside within or “immersed” in the Mother, the Holy Spirit, where we remain until we are born (by the resurrection) and finally, presented to our Father at the Feast of Firstfruits immediately after the Seven ages (weeks) of Enoch’s Vision are complete. However, the Apostles never called this the trinity, instead they referred to it as the mystery of the Bridal Chamber: The Lord of Spirits and the Holy Spirit entered the Bridal Chamber where conception took place and they left as Father and Mother.
The change from Eyahuwah (”He who exists”} to Eyahushuah (”He who exists is our savior” ) required a change to become just as much flesh and blood and subject to death, as Mankind is. Only then by His overcoming what we must overcome, was he able to become our Savior in every way. Then being raised from the dead to the status of the Son of Elah is he also able to do everything that needs to be done to save the world. “Elah did not send His Son (the Son of Man) into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him (the Son of Elah) might be delivered!”
Mankind dies. So He had to be made (”a body you have prepared for me”) like us in every way, so that He could die. Do not get tangled up in trying to make God fit some preconceived notion. Elah and the Elahim are doing a great work here and using everything including life and death to make our final outcome the greatest it could ever be: We are the Children of Elah! Elah never died. The Son of Man became flesh, so that He could die! And was raised up as the Son of Elah. If we are in Him and He in us, then we will not die. When we are resurrected we will each be given a new body, thus there is no resurrection “of the body.” The resurrection is of that son of man, which each of us is, into the body of the Son of Elah, completely filled with the Holy Spirit that we received from our Mother.
This is what is in the scriptures from Enoch to Revelation.
Briefly, concerning Satan, and the other messengers that sinned. This is explained in great detail in the book of Enoch.
We are living at the end of the Seventh Age of Enoch’s vision. This is the end-times for that age. But it is also the time to prepare for the Eighth Age — the age of right-ruling and peace. And, if you can imagine this, it will be a time when millions of Sons of God will be walking the earth!

Ron Weinland admits that he does not have any knowledge of the content that is contained in the book of Enoch. This is recorded in his latest radio interview that aired back in the middle of December 2007. It is interesting that you mentioned this book, because I have referenced this book, too, in my own writings. These interviews may also be found on his website. Jesus Christ knew of the book of Enoch and many believe that this book was used as a reference when the book of Genesis was written. If my memory serves me correctly, there was a debate which the Catholic Church and its leaders were considering the book of Enoch in place of the book of Revelation. I believe the debate involved the fallen angels possessing or dwelling in human beings. The Church didn’t want to explain this issue with the masses, so they decided against using this book and suppressed it for over 1000 years. This is an interesting book. Do you believe it is the complete work of Enoch as described in Genesis? I believe that Genesis referenced approximately 366 books (or passages) that Enoch wrote.
I have been researching and gathering information on Ron for well over 3 years and it is hard to put a finger on his intentions. Is his intentions self-serving, as you have said, or is he hoping that there will be some man-made event or natural disaster that will reinforce his writings? Is he taking a gamble that there will be some event that will put his writings on the best sellers list? The money that he has wasted, in my opinion, suggest that it is not about the money? Ron might be a lonely being that is in need of being noticed. He appears to have made a ripple in the water, but as of today, he has not made a wave.
A couple of weeks ago, in a sermon titled, “Stay the Course,” he discussed the “What if scenerio” with his congregation. He asked his congregation, “What they were going to do, if what he has said does not come to pass?” Were they going to hold onto their belief of what is true or would they return to “traditional Christianity?” Ron claimed that he would be a “false prophet” and would leave the ministry. He would dissolve his church. He would not be like other prophets and change his dates. The interesting part about what Ron described was that he would expect his follower to hold onto the truth. I would ask, “What Truth?” If he is a false prophet then what he has taught is false and no one should follow the lead of a false prophet. He claims that he would hold onto the truths about God, but on the other hand would dissolve his organization and cease to be a minister. I guess he will be looking for another church to join, if it is proven through time, that he is indeed a false prophet.
In the book of Revelation, it discusses the Seven Thunders that John was instructed not to write about. Ron claims that he was given authority to unlease these Seven Thunders. Information about these Seven Thunders can be located in his latest book. One year ago, in December 2006, he petitioned God about increasing the intensity of these Thunders, so the leadership of the WCG, that was scattered after the fall of the organization would know that he was God’s true end time prophet. January came and went and these Thunders were not growing in intensity. One of the Seven Thunders is regarding the deaths of the leadership of several other opposing church organizations that scattered from WCG. Many may believe and argue that he has lost his mind. Some people are sincere, but are sincerely wrong! Ron might be one of these people.
What was your thoughts concerning Ron’s timeline of events? September 29, 2011 being the return of Christ. On several of his radio interviews, many have argued that “no one knows the time or the hour” for the son of Man. He has claimed that God would in time reveal this information to Christ, because it is Christ who will open the seals contained in the book of Revelation. Ron preceives himself as the vehicle that Christ is using to fulfill his father’s mission for this end-time.
Even if Christ was informed of the timing for his return, would he share this information with his prophets? Has God given advance notice of his intentions, prior to fulfilling various prophecies? In Amos 3:7, it is stated, “Surely the Lord…will do nothing, except he reveal his secret unto his servants the prophets.” So keeping this scripture in mind, it could be interpreted that God will in fact inform his servants, prior to fulfilling the prophecy concerning his second return. Another example was that Noah was given advanced notice, prior to the flood, and was required to inform the people that they would be destroyed because of their sins.
If Weinland is true and he speaks the word of God, then many millions will be informed about a new world order that will last for a 1000 years. Ron does claim that there will be several million people who will have the opportunity to live into this new era, which will be governed by Christ and the 144,000, who will be resurrected on the day of his second coming. If all of this comes to pass, as Weinland states, will we be able to repent of our ways, and be humble enough to accept that we were in error concerning the knowledge that we believed was correct about God? If Weinland’s mission does come to pass, then man, as a whole, will continue to reject God. Maybe, that is why scripture states that, “Christ will come as a thief in the night.” Many will not believe, even when the evidence is in hand, that Christ is coming. Man, like Satan and the fallen angels have rejected God. God did not reject us, but we rejected him.
Interesting. The first time I started teaching from the Book of Enoch, in 1978 or 1979, there seemed to me to be a very strong spiritual connection between the entire Book of Enoch or I Enoch and the rest of the Scriptures. I purchased an expensive book about Enoch and the Dead Sea Scrolls and the conclusion of the study was that the book gave the feeling of being a complete work. One part was missing. “The Book of Giants,” found in fragments among the Dead Sea Scrolls, the researchers believed, should have been included amongthe four books in I Enoch. As far as the other supposed Enoch books go, they do not come from the same Spirit and may have been written during the Current Era. At least, they do not offer the same solid material of I Enoch.
I was very much surprised that, after editing, the R. H. Charles translation seemed to come to life and offered even more powerfully inspired passages. This will be ready shortly.
It could be that what Ron is experiencing is in fact a “door open” to be a true witness, but he is not doing the work of a true witness, not to mention the work of the Two Witnesses. His prophecy about April 2008 and the return of Jesus in September of 2011 simply does not work. I wrote about the last years of our age in my series on Unsealed Prophecies.
Here is what I see from the Book of Daniel and the Book of Revelation. A final 7 year period starts with the prophesying of the two witnesses who confront the Prince of the Earth, where they prophesy against him for three and one-half years or 1260 days. According to the revealed calendar given to Enoch, they would start at the time of the spring equinox that marks the start of a new year. 1260 days or 42 months or three and one-half years later is the autumnal equinox and is the Feast of Trumpets on Enoch’s calendar. At that time their prophecy ends and they are killed. By the way, on only one calendar are 1260 days, 42 months, and three and one-half years the same amount of time: Enoch’s revealed calendar. This I believe is a code built into the Book of Revelation so that we would know which calender to use.
From that Feast of Trumpets and continuing for 1260 days, this Beast and its leader, will wage war against the righteous (overcomers) and the elect (the chosen, or all the tribes of Jacob, including but not limited to the Jews). This day also marks the time requiring great patience to wait for the end of the 1,335 days. This time is the only one that starts on the Feast of Trumpets and ends 75 days after the eighth age begins. The 1,335th day is the Feast of Weeks and the Feast of Firstfruits. It is also the time when the Wave Loaves are presented before Elah, the Father. These loaves are a symbol of the Sons of Elah and correspond to the Wave Sheaf offering that was presented on the first day of the week during the Feast of Unleavened Bread after Eyahushuah was raised from the dead.
Thus the whole period is seven years. It brings the Seven Weeks of Enoch’s vision to completeness, This is symbolized by the counting of Seven Complete Weeks from the first week after the end of the Feast of Unleavened Bread to the First of Weeks/Firstfruits on the 15th day of the third month. That day marks the day everyone is waiting for: the revealing of the Sons of Elah to the rest of the world.
In this map of time, the resurrection of the righteous and the elect (”the whole House of Israel” Eze 37) also happens on the spring equinox and marks the beginning of the new year that starts the Eighth Age.
So given this plan, as is now plain in the Scriptures, even if the two witnesses start the time of their prophecy on the spring equinox of 2008, the return of Yahwah or Eyahuwah to the earth (Zechariah 14) would not happen until the spring equinox of 2015. Ron is hung up on some other time frame, perhaps from Armstrong.
Can we know the times? Of course. The statement that has everyone confused says that no one knows the day or the hour that the Father has in his mind.
That is in the present tense and speaks directly to those at that time. But there is nothing that says we will not know during the final time. In fact, the prophecies of the end of our age have been hidden even from Daniel and the Apostles. Only now can this information be understood.
Remember one thing, you read it here first.
The other end time prophecy concerns the 2,300 evenings and mornings associated with “that which is continual.” This was also “sealed and hidden until till the time of the end.” Something like the evening and morning sacrifices will come to an end in the end-time. It is unclear what this is. Does it mean sacrifices will start again to be stopped at a later time? Or does it refer to a spiritual event? I don’t know for sure at this time and I am still exploring it. Nevertheless, this is a second countdown to the “time of victory.” This is a day by day countdown that is not associated with any calendar, but instead to days. When this starts then 1,290 days later on Enoch’s calendar, the false prophet takes a position in the hearts of the people world-wide that he is Elah on earth. This takes place on this time line near the middle of the last three and one-half years.
The death and resurrection of the two witnesses is a sign to the Sons of Light in this world and to the Sons of Darkness. Their three and one half days when they lie dead in the streets of Jerusalem and then are raised up to ascend, is a message of hope to the Sons of Light to hold on for another three and one half years until the Great Resurrection when Yahweh returns to rule the earth. This victory and conquest over the rulers of the earth by “the Son of Man” is repeated several times in I Enoch.
I can tell you that these things start on the spring equinox, the first day of the year on Enoch’s calendar. But which spring equinox and year on our calendar, I don’t know. But when the two witnesses start to present their testimony, then those who understand, will know.

HWA died 20 some years ago, and did not have any of these prophecies that Ron is babbling about at this present time. Ron has established these on his own, even though he has claimed that these prophecies are inspired interpretations from God. These prophecies are completely separate from anything the HWA taught. Weinland teaches the same content about the meaning of each of God’s annual high Sabbaths like Passover, Pentecost, UB, Feast of Trumpets, Atonement, and the First and Last day of Feast of Tabernacles. It is interesting that Ron points out that there is an event associated with the Feast of Trumpets, considering that he has never read the book of Enoch. We are only human and it is possible that our times lines are flawed in regard to the sequence of events. We have to rely on the spirit to guide us in the appropriate direction regarding these matters.
Weinland like HWA taught that there was a hidden plan or message about God’s purpose for man and the expansion of his family. This plan is revealed through the 7 annual Sabbaths as identified above.
They both agree that the 7th day Sabbath represents the 7000 year plan for man. This includes the 1000 year millennial period.
The Passover according to HWA taught that this day represents the beginning of salvation for man. Weinland states, “Without receiving the Passover, mankind cannot enter into a relationship with God. Receiving the Passover allows mankind to begin the process of salvation…” The Passover sacrifice of Christ, did indeed, pay the penalty for our sins.
The days of Unleavened Bread. According to HWA there were two annual observances for the days of UB. The first and last day of UB, and these annual Sabbaths represents the eating of Unleavened Bread and putting sin out of your life. HWA taught that the symbolism of bread is that “leaven puffs up just like pride puffs up.” Therefore, leaven is symbolic of sin. Unleavened bread also symbolizes Christ because he was without sin. Weinland commented that, “…if someone did not receive the Passover they could not have the life of God dwelling in them through the power of his spirit.” Weinland continues this teaching and has used several of these analogies through his work, but never references that these are the original works of HWA. Both Weinland and HWA believed in baptism and our sins are forgiven through Christ. Weinland believed, “Contrary to the teaching of traditional Christianity, we are not to remain the way we are by simply accepting grace, but we are to change by becoming a new creature in God.” I think he is trying to say that “grace” does not give anyone a free ticket to sin. That we should be striving to live life without sin, which is impossible, but we should continue to evaluate our life, remaining close to God in prayer, and to change and improve our character. Our own character should reflect that of a humble and meek spirit. We should always have it within our hearts to help our fellow man, using Christ as an example of how we should treat each others. It is all about the relationship we have with our God and the relationships that we have with our fellow man.
Pentecost represents the next step in God’s plan for man according to HWA and Weinland. This annual Sabbath represents that mankind is offered the ability to become part of God’s family through the receiving of the Holy Spirit. Weinland claims that the “two wave loaves” represent 144,000 that God has called as first fruits (Rev 14). These are the only people that God has been working exclusively with during the first 6000 year period. Weinland and HWA have taught that Christ was the first of the first fruits; however, HWA never taught that the 144,000 were the only ones that God was training and providing a means of salvation. According to Weinland, these people are the first resurrection as described in Revelation. Weinland is claiming that salvation for the rest of mankind occurs during the “Great White Throne” period. If this is true and God is only working with those of 144,000, then there has been much deception for this to be hidden from the masses. Peter, in the book of Acts, describes the Holy Spirit as a gift and helper. If these ideas are true, then it would be a testament to the world that the Holy Spirit can be given and taken away based on your relationship with God. It would be obvious that the millions of people who have received the Holy Spirit have fallen away from God, and he severed the relationship, thus removed his spirit. It could also be interpreted that the 144,000 received the Holy Spirit and were the only ones who remained faithful, continually repented, made the necessary changes, prayed and developed a close and healthy relationship with God. Some may argue that, “I do that every day. Why am I not granted salvation?” I think and believe that God has final judgment, and he determines the course of events and will decide who he wants in his family. God determines the sequence of events and shares these matters with his prophets and servants.
The Feast of Trumpets as described in Lev 23, is paramount according to Weinland and concerns the blowing of trumpets and the return of Christ. Weinland teaches that this is the second coming of Christ, the 144,000 people who were faithful will be resurrected (1 Thessalonians 4); this is the first resurrection. The two witnesses will be resurrected from Jerusalem on this day. There will be a great battle (Armagedddon) that occurs on this day and Christ steps in at the very moment in order to prevent man from annihilating himself and every living creature from the face of the earth. This is found in Ron’s first book the “Prophesized End-Time, page 223-225.” Ironically, all of this occurs in a single day, on the feast of Trumpets. Weinland claims the Feast of Trumpets, “…marks the very last day of the 6000 year period of man’s self-rule on earth. It is also the very beginning of God’s kingdom ruling on the earth. It begins the last 1000 years of God’s 7000 year plan of salvation for man.” He also concludes by saying, “…the resurrection of the 144,000 firstfruits, marks the end of God’s plan for the fulfillment of the early spring harvest, pictured by the very large fall harvest.” It was written in scripture that the Church was always small and would continue to exist until the return of Christ. The “Church” is not a physical structure, but is the membership that God is working through.
The Day of Atonement is described as a process where everyone can be reconciled to God. Weinland states, “The first fruits of God, after Trumpets has been fulfilled, are now fully atoned, reconciled to God. The entire process (revealed through Passover, Unleavened Bread, Pentecost, Trumpets) shows how the first fruits were able to be born into God’s family-becoming part of the Kingdom of God. This atoning process will be available for the rest of man at the end of the “Great White Thone” period of 100 years. Once again, I do not know where he gets this 100 year “White Thone Judgment.” HWA discussed this period and I have read Revelation 20 and it does not say 100 years or a generation. HWA never commented that this was to be 100 year period. What is your idea on the “Great White Throne” being a period of 100 years?
Feast of Tabernacles: This feast has two annual high Sabbaths. These annual Sabbaths are on the first and last day. Weinland and HWA have taught that the Feast of Tabernacles represents the last part of God’s plan which pictures the end of mans self-rule and God setting up his 1000 year millennial period. The final day of this feast is called the “Last Great Day,” and this day represents the “Great White Throne” judgment period, where billions of people will receive instruction and will be offered the gift of eternal life.
Many people have argued that these annual festivals were done away with after Christ was resurrected. There is evidence that these annual festivals, which were found in Lev 23, were indeed kept following the death of Christ. Many of the apostles and disciples had observed these festivals annually. Did HWA have the correct interpretation of these festival days? There is much debate over this issue. However, it is written in Zachariah, that at the beginning of the millennial period, many people will not observe the Feast of Tabernacles; there are consequences for disobeying this command. Everyone who lives through the Great Tribulation will be required to observe this annual festival day. It is written in Zachariah 14: 16, “… it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations that came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.” The consequence for disobey this command is as follows, “And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, neither [shall it be] upon them; there shall be the plague wherewith Jehovah will smite the nations that go not up to keep the feast of tabernacles. This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all the nations that go not up to keep the feast of tabernacles. And it shall be, that whoso of [all] the families of the earth goeth not up unto Jerusalem to worship the King, Lord of hosts, upon them there shall be no rain. This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all the nations that go not up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles (Zach 14:17-19). It can be interpreted that these annual festivals, which we have discussed above, do indeed have meaning and purpose, or God would not have required these days to be observed during his millennial rule. In main line Christianity, it is fact, that they do not observe all of these festivals. Many of these groups have stated that the annual festivals did not have a purpose and therefore, would not observe them. Those groups who adopted the “Trinity Doctrine” observe the Passover and Pentecost, and some Atonement, but ignore the rest. HWA and Weinland both teach that it is through these Annual Sabbaths that the plan of God is revealed. Consequently, many people that have been associated with these groups have be exposed to excessive tithing, not working on the 7th day Sabbath; observing these annual Holy Days; not eating unclean meat; and, not being able to question the leadership without fear of being removed from the fellowship. It is possible that the masses have been deceived regarding the meaning and purpose of these annual festivals. Thus, it could be concluded that those who do not keep these days, or do not have God’s intended purpose and meaning for these days, are not yet of God. This can only be concluded if HWA’s premise confirms that these days, do indeed, have meaning and purpose to God. Again, it is unclear to whether HWA interpretations of these days are accurate. Obviously, God has purpose for the observance of these days, because of the Zachariah account.
In your last post, you mentioned a calendar that Enoch was exposed to regarding 1260 or a 360 day year. I believe that this is the same calendar that Christ referenced in the book of Revelation regarding the two witnesses. I do not believe this is a physical calendar that is available to us, but as God created the Universe he used various mathematical calculations for the constellations and the planets rotations in accordance with the sun. I believe this is God’s calendar and how he has calculated time from the very beginning.
In your last note, it was mentioned that the “morning and evening sacrifices” would come to an end in the end-time. Is this referring to God’s Church? In the Old Testament sacrifices were offered because those people did not have a redeemer for their sins. After Christ died and was resurrected from the dead he was that sacrifice for our sins. On Pentecost the Holy Spirit became available to all (meaning those who were called by God), and with the Holy Spirit, we were given the opportunity to have a direct relationship with God the Father. As long as we continue to seek a relationship with God, repent, change our behavior, develop an attitude of humility and a love for one another, keep his laws, then our relationship with him grows and prospers. God’s true disciples are students and will have an attitude of mind that is willing to learn and be instructed. Prayer will be consistent, because a true servant of God desires instruction and correction.
Is this passage in Enoch referring to the true disciples and servants of God? In the end-times has the spiritual condition of his servants (church) become stagnant? Have God’s chosen people severed their relationship with him, because they failed to remain close to him in prayer? Did they give up this morning and evening sacrifice? In the book of Revelation 3:15-17, it is written, “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So because thou art lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spew thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and have gotten riches, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art the wretched one and miserable and poor and blind and naked.”
It can be interpreted that the spiritual condition of God’s servants during the end-times could be compromised, because we are a people who are rich and increased with goods. We are essentially in need of nothing. This scripture in Revelation does discuss an attitude of mind. This is not the mindset that God desires of us. Actually, this is a mindset that is destructive, empty, and will not bring peace and happiness; therefore, it is contrary to the ways of God. God cannot be around this kind of attitude which is filled with pride and haughtiness. He withdraws from us; thus, removing himself from our presence. This is the removal of the Holy Spirit, until we repent of our sins. Again, God does not reject us, we reject him.
Christ, obviously new about the book of Enoch, but inspired John to write the book of Revelation. In the book of Revelation, it talks about the 7 Thunders, which Christ instructed John not to write about, but he did clearly see those events in a vision. What do you know about these 7 Thunders, and are they referenced in any other work?
The answers lie in understanding the Torah and the Prophets, and the book of Enoch.
Go to the Torah and find out why two silver trumpets were made. The Feast of Trumpets is not the beginning of the year. But it is a time of Shouting ( a type of trumpet blast ) . It is a time of crying out to YHWH for deliverance from the enemies.
There is only one 1335 day period on Enoch’s calender with the Feast days ahd High days ( “sabbath”) in place. Please read my entire series about the end of this age and the place the Feasts and High have.
If there is only 6,000 years spread over 7 ages, and because the year started on the fourth day of the week in the spring at the time of equinox, then the 6000 years of the revealed calendar will end on sunset on the day before the spring equinox. The next age will begin and the resurrection will happen on the first day of the first year of the eighth age after the seven “weeks” or ages are complete, not on the Feast of Trumpets, which is the first day of the seventh month!!!
Also answer this question, Ezekiel was given a vision of the Temple, in what month of the year is the temple services to start? When the Tabernacle (Tent of Meeting) was first set up, on what month did that happen? Both of these are rich with spiritual meaning and prophecy!
Weinland is wrong concerning the Feast of Trumpers as are the prophecy pundits: Tim LaHaye, Hague, Lindsay, Van Impe, Chuck Smith and all on TBN. Those who look for a Messiah to appear on the Feast of Trumpets are going to be in for a big surprise when someone else shows up, does not resurrect the dead, but instead sets out to make war on the righteous and the elect, starting with the two witnesses. He will be given power over them for three and one-half years, and then they will be delivered. Read Daniel 12.
I am still reviewing your work on the “end of an age.”
Do you think the 7 ages represents 6000 years? What about 6000 years represents six of the ages. The seventh age represents the 1000 year mellenial period. The 8th age represents the “Great White Throne Judgment period as referenced in Revelation 20.
I am still pondering over the “morning and evening sacrifices.” This is interesting. I had never thought of it until you had mentioned it. Could the 2300 mornings and evenings represent the length of the Laodicea era, prior to the last 7 years before Christ? There has always been speculation on how valid church eras were as described in Rev 3.
Weinland’s first book was published in September of 2004. This could be interpreted as 7 years prior to Christ return, if Weinland is accurate.
Here is something interesting. HWA, as you are aware upon his death gave leadership to Joesph Tkach. On December 17, 1994, he announced that that Sabbath keeping was no long required. People would be able to work on the Sabbath.
Exactly 40 Sabbaths from that day, he died on the Sabbath. He died in mid-afternoon, the same time as he was giving that sermon some 40 weeks earlier.
Another question that keeps bothering me is if Weinland is true and end-time prophet. Why would God have a prophet who knows nothing about the book of Enoch? Are we missing anything? Does the 2 witnesses die, and there is still 3 and a half years remaining? Or, is there 3 and and one-half years prior to the Great Tribulation as Weinland proposes? Any thoughts? I am still exploring?
I just watched an online video that had an important lesson. Using the game of basketball as an example, it showed the most important thing you could learn about the game, even before learning skills, was how you think. The point is that to be successful in basketball you must understand the game so that you can read the court, the strength and weaknesses of the other team, the strengths and weaknesses of the player you are defending against, the shot and how it will play off the backboard and rim, the pass attempt and how to react against it. The teacher on this video used this as an example of how to approach the subject of the series.
What he taught also applies here.
Which is better? If I tell you the answer straight out, or show you the way to find the answer for your self?
You asked, “Do you think the 7 ages represent 6,000 years?”
I ask you, “Where in the scriptures, including Enoch, the Book of Jubilees, and the Hebrew Scriptures can we find a declaration that says ‘6,000 years?’ ”
Here are other questions that will lead to understanding.
Revelation
Concerning the 2,300 evenings and mornings
The Revealed Calendar
Zechariah and Post Exilic prophets
Two Witnesses
If you can learn the true answers to these questions, you will know more than Ron Weinland, HWA, Tim LaHaye, Hal Lyndsey, and all the other prophecy pundits.
Bonus questions:
I will test you on this. [Well, not me, but the test will come.]
Timothy Sakach, Ph.D.
P.S. A couple more questions:
These questions are insightful and helpful.
You have asked, “Who do people say I am?”
I have to ask, “Why are you concerned about what others are saying about you?” Are you doing the work of Elah in good faith, and out of love for those who could possibly benefit from your work? Or, do you have some other motive for doing this work? The answer is within you. It’s obvious that your work has evolved over the course of many years, but do you practice and believe in the beliefs that you have written and spoken? Again, only you can answer this question. Many people in this world say they are living and obeying God, but they are not. They may attend church, but do not desire to put the time into developing a relationship with God. This takes sacrifice on our part, and it takes time that we would rather use for our own ends. The age old story for Man, Satan, and his fallen angels is that we do not want to be told what to do. We want to live life on our own, because we believe that we know how to live life best, therefore, God has remove himself and allowed us to experience life on our own. And, it is a precious gift when one comes to understand the ways of God. This understanding cannot be understood on our own; we need to use the scriptures, and we need to have a relationship with God. It is God who provides understanding.
So you ask, “Who do you say I am?” And, I have to respond by saying, “If God shows me understanding from your work, then you would be merely the vehicle that was used for that end.” If one wants to be esteemed because of his works, then that is his reward; but, if your service is in God, then your reward is with God.
Ron Weinland’s date for Christ 2nd coming is on September 29, 2011, on the Feast of Trumpets. In Matthew 24:29 it states,
“But immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: and then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.”
I was looking at the solar eclipses for 2011, and there is not any cosmic activity during the month of August, September or October, but there is a partial eclipse in November. It appears that if Weinland’s three and one-half years of Great Tribulation results in the 2nd coming of Christ, then something miraculous must occur for the sun to be darkened and noticed from Jerusalem on that day. Remember, that the sun was darkened at the time of Christ death. So, shall it be at his return. This was a solar eclipse. He died on a Wednesday and it is believed that his 2nd coming will be on a Wednesday.
According to the Enochian Calendar there should be 364 days in a year. Is it true that the Sabbath and Annual High Feasts should be on the same day of the week each year?
What others say about me isn’t the point of the question, is it? What I was looking for was the type of response that Jesus was looking for when he asked his disciples the same questions. The response revealed the lack of a spiritual relationship with the Father, when the others thought that he might be John the Baptist, or Elijah, or Jeremiah or one of the prophets or “merely the vehicle.”
The disciples gave an answer that could only come from revelation from the Father, and it is upon that spiritual connection He declared He would build his “called-out ones.”
You say, “if your service is in God …” And by that you testify about that which you do not see.
In this day and time anyone who claims to be a prophet or one of the two witnesses is considered a nut-case.
As far as my personal understanding goes, my job is to guard His work and words, and to be an expert witness concerning the truth. I cannot do this by myself and without the true spiritual connection with my Family. I do nothing from myself, because without the Spirit, nothing can happen.
I get the impression that you do not see that Spirit in what I write. Instead you are looking for confirmation of what you believe. You sound like you are repeating words that you heard from others, and even from me. But are they yours? Do you own them? You have invested much time and energy into your collection of beliefs, but you need to be taught by the Spirit as John wrote, “You do not need any man to teach you, but His anointing teaches you all things.”
I received that anointing as young man of 22. And all that I have learned for the past many years is because of that. It did not come from the schools I went to, or the preachers I listened to, or the books I read. The Holy Spirit in me, just as Eyahushuah said, teaches me all things. To know who I am one must see that in what I say and what I do.
You can find the truth about the Feasts and Holy Days on Enoch’s calendar, and also the days when the weekly Sabbaths occur by studying the Torah, Enoch, and what David did when he set up the courses for the priests.
Also the prophecies of the future moon turning to blood color, the sun darkened, the stars not shining, and meteor showers of immense scope do not tell about a solar eclipses, but about huge clouds of cosmic dust entering our solar system threatening all life on earth. From that we must be delivered or there will be no one left alive! You see, even in this case, you picked up some “bit” of information, but missed the truth.
See my post about Revelation from the Father and the one about Spiritual Discernment.
Interesting, though, you seem to give esteem to Ron who does not tell you the truth.
I am searching, but skeptical, and following the advice of the scriptures in my pursuit of understanding. I do indeed believe that I do have a relationship with my God and he opens the door for understanding.
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep`s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves (Matt 7:15).
The purpose in my study of Weinland was to find out the truth about his teachings, and to discredit those teachings, if they are indeed false. I do not know everthing, which is why I rely on God for that understanding. I need God to prove this to me. If he is false, his teachings will have no merit and will be nothing more than dust in the wind.
As for your teachings, I honestly do not know enough about you and your teachings. I have only known about you and your works for just a little more than a week. Thus, I must be cautious and rely on God for understanding. God will make it known and show who he is using as his true servants and prophets. The response that I gave you was reflective, non-hostile, and placed responsibility back on you and your beliefs. You alone are accountable and responsible for the development of the relationship that you have with your God. A relationship is about the “meeting of the minds” between two or more individuals. In order for any relationship to be successful, there is sacrifice of time, there is compromise, respect, courteousness, and as a result true friendship and love is built. God desires to have a “father” and “Son” relationship with each and every one of us. His ultimate purpose is to teach and instruct us on how to build strong relationships, and to live better lives according to his ways and to become part of his family. God expects obedience to his laws, and Christ did not come to do away with the law, like so many out there would want us to believe. Christ kept the common laws of man and the laws of the prophets. It was through him that man would be forgiven of sin, and has an opportunity to develop a relationship with the father through the Holy Spirit. “Think not that I came to destroy the law or the prophets: I came not to destroy, but to fulfill (Matthew 5:7). The Holy Spirit was a kind of a “helper” and was the power of God. God would assist us in developing a relationship with him. We cannot develop correct, truthful, and loving relationships on our own. The kind of unconditional love that God demonstrates to us is impossible for us to emulate without him. Thank God that he was the master Engineer, mathematician, father, creator and he had a predetermined plan for man and the expansion of his family. We should be so thankful that he is including us. In Psalms, David said,
“What is man that you are mindful of him (David), and the son of man (Christ) that You (God the Father) visit him? For You (God the Father) have made him a little lower than the angels, and You (God the Father) have crowned him with glory and honor (Psalms 8:4-5).”
Some years ago, I was attending a church service and they used a format, or ritual that they called the “Divine Liturgy.” This was a service around the Passover. It was interesting that it was written in the “Divine Liturgy” that Christ died and was in the heart of the earth for 3 days and 3 nights; however, the priest during his sermon commented that Christ had died on Friday evening and had been resurrected on Sunday morning. This was two completely conflicting viewpoints. It is written in scripture that “a lie is not of the truth,” but this particular church taught this to their people. This teaching is in error, it was evident, and I asked myself, “Why did so many of these people refuse to address such error? Don’t they see that they write one thing and speak another?” I did question a couple my friends in that church and the one responded that this was the first time that this was brought to his attention. He just never made the connection. Even though all of these people had been participating in this ritualistic service for years, and sang those words that Christ was dead for 3 days and 3 nights; they were in ignorance to the fact, that there was a discrepancy in what was written in their “Divine Liturgy” and the words that the priest spoke. Another friend responded by saying that he knew what the scriptures said, but responded by saying, “It is not important, and who cares - enjoy the service.” It was from this point forward that I began my search for the true God and his truths. I had a feeling in my being that God cares and desires us to obey and to learn. This church was squelching the truth! So, I turned to the scriptures, and it has been a journey and a quest to learn the truth. It is written,
“Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? And he called to him a little child, and set him in the midst of them, and said, Verily I say unto you, except ye turn, and become as little children, ye shall in no wise enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 18:1-4).
The lesson that must be learned is that we must have a spirit like that of a little child. This type of spirit desires to learn, to be instructed and to be given correction. God desires to teach us. This comes with instruction and constructive feedback (correction). This has to do with a relationship with God. Many people are filled with arrogance and pride and are in need of nothing. They do not listen to God. God cannot instruct such spirits who are filled with pride and haughtiness. Will we allow him to instruct us, or will we reject him? Many will desire to teach and through the Spirit of God, we must discern the truth. God provides the truth!
I have explored some of your ideas; they are interesting and similar in some aspects to those of Weinland’s. As for the book of Enoch, I am not entirely convinced that this work is the genuine article. I am still researching, exploring, reading and learning about Enoch and the contents of his book. I will use your questions in the previous note as a starting point, as I compare that of Enoch with the other scriptures.
As for Ron Weinland’s work, I am not convinced that he is a true prophet and is serving God. I believe that was evident in my writings to you. Some people are sincere, but sincerely wrong! I am still exploring and it is through God’s spirit that he will lead me to discern the truth.
Like I said earlier, I knew nothing about you or your teachings prior to our first writings. I did order your book to learn more. As a follow up to your question regarding, “What do others say about me.” Again, if your work is in God, then you do not need people to give you confirmation that you are the chosen one who is “…an expert witness” or “…guarding His work and the words.” If you need confirmation, it could be interpreted that one is in doubt. God reveals truth and gives truth in its entirety through his timing. It is written, “Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by its fruits (Matthew 12:33).” It is just simply too early for me to make a judgment on who you are and to make a determination of your teachings. But, God’s work will be known by its fruit. We cannot have it both ways, either we are of the truth or we are not. Many will claim to be of God, but when the test is given, they falter. We must be wise in our discernment of the truth.
I am not claiming to know all truth; on the contrary, I am a disciple or student of God. Honestly, I believe there is much to learn. God instructs me and will lead me in the direction of his choosing.
In your last note, you make an excellent comment about the “Spirit of Man,” and it is correct that it is through this spirit that God provides us with understanding. God upon creation, starting with Adam and Eve, placed in us this “Spirit of Man.” This spirit is our intelligence and enables us to think and to reason. It is this Spirit that differentiates us from the rest of God’s creation. Also, this “Spirit of Man” is used by God and is the way in which the Holy Spirit can communicate with us. It is through this ‘Spirit of Man” that our character is molded and developed in the nature of God. This same Spirit is returned to God upon death (Eccl 12:7). This spirit cannot operate independently and without a body. It needs to be placed in either a physical or a spiritual body in order to function. During the final judgment, when God grants the gift of eternal life, that “Spirit of Man” our “intellect and character,” which has been molded, taught, and perfected by God, will be placed in a spiritual body. And, until that day comes, each and every one of us upon death is in “Shoel” and knows nothing. Now, that is the day that we all wait for and desire!
Finally, in response to the sun darkening, in Matthew 24, followed by the 2nd coming of Christ, I did mention, that if, Weinland’s prophecy is true, then there would have to be some “miraculous event” that would have to occur on that day because the celestial planets to not line up in order to give an eclipse. What you have written is that “…huge clouds of cosmic dust entering our solar system threatening all life as we know it. From that we must be delivered or there will be no one left alive!” This could be a nuclear explosion or some meteor impacting the planet. This is exactly the same information that Weinland describes is going to happen on this day in September of 2011. He claims nuclear weapons will being detonated. According to Weinland, the 2nd and 3rd woes occur on this same day and Christ and his elect (144,000), have to step in and shorten time, at just the right moment, in order to prevent our self-destruction.
As I have mentioned in a past note, I am seeking truth and understanding, and I know that the truth will come from the inspired interpretation of God through his Holy Spirit. May God, continue to inspire you, in the ways of his truth.
I believe that you are a genuinely sincere man, and it has been a pleasure in corresponding with you. May, we all remember that we are students of God.
T
Travis,
Thank you for your comments. I trust that other readers will find them helpful.
If you wish to explore these things further, I think we should move on to another topic. This page is very heavy now, and may be slow loading for some readers.
Throughout my life, I questioned anything that seemed to come up short in the truth realm. This included my parents, relatives, teachers, textbooks, preachers, religious leaders, opinion makers, authors, politicians, bureaucrats, media, pundits, neighbors, and so on. I was born this way. Some asked me, “Do you always question your teachers?” I replied, “Yes, don’t you?”
The words of Elihu from Job reflect exactly where I am. But there is another revelation given by John in chapter one of his gospel [from The Scriptures translation:]
That man was John the Baptizer. His witness concerned the coming of the Light, the Word to “pitch his tent among us.” That was an important time. It changed the world, but also “started a fire” that still burns today after almost 2,000 years.
Today we live in a a much more intense time. Once again the One who came then to become flesh is about to return this time as Eyahuwah (YHWH) to take the rulership of the nations and remove the leaders, and then bring peace to the world by giving the rule of the nations to the righteous.
But before that happens, two others will be sent from Elahim to bear witness to the Light that is coming. Their message will infuriate the rulers of the nations and most of those who live under those rulers. These who will bear witness to the Light must be separate and independent, at least as far as coming to understanding, wisdom and knowledge goes. That doesn’t mean they will have two vastly different messages. On the contrary, their messages will be the same. But they will have been prepared separately, so that their witness will be true and according to the Torah.
Yohanan gave his witness, and then was killed. These will give their witness for three and one-half years with authority to do what must be done to deliver their testimony and prophecy. When they are finished they will be given over to the “dragon” or “beast” who will kill them. But even that does not stop these two as they are raised up after three and one-half days and ascend to heaven. This is a message of hope for the righteous and elect, who must now endure the most difficult and troubling time this planet has ever experienced. For three and one-half years war will be waged against the righteous and the elect. Then the suffering will end and they will be delivered. The righteous and the elect will also be raised up and to them will be given power, authority, and prosperity.
As for Ron Weinland, in his present state he is not one of the two witnesses. Should he change and become clean, and start “bearing witness to the truth” instead of his own half-cocked ideas, then we should take another look. He definitely is not the “spokesman” for the two witnesses as that only amounts to the words of one witness, and, according to the Torah, any case must be established by the words of two or three witnesses, not one who “speaks for two.”
All the best,
Tim Sakach
Wouldn’t this be a good way to prove that Weinland is fake?
He says he will be “witnessing” for three and one half years DURING THE TRIBULATION. He says that after his death all the world will be able to see him BY MEANS OF MODERN TECHNOLOGY [TV]. Try to imgine how it could be possible for any modern technology surviving the most terrible time for human beings there ever was or ever will be!
And, what about the FIRE that comes out of his mouth? Can anything be seen coming out of his mouth that consumes his foes? (Don’t you seem to be one of his foes?)
Would YOU feel comfortable if you would be chosen to be one of the 2 witnesses? Would you want fire coming out of your mouth that would consume human beings?
Would you want such a position?
Robert,
I think that he has provided all the proof needed. I do not believe that either of the two witnesses are going to go around with business cards that say “One of the two witnesses.” They will do what they have been called to do and the rest of the world probably won’t even know who they are and why they are doing what they do.
Ron’s “daffy-nition” of a witness is one who was present, as I guess he was, during the last years of the Worldwide Church of God as it fell out of Herbert Armstrong’s control after Armstrong died and into the hands of others who had little or no understanding. And rather speaking the revealed prophecy of the Scriptures, he makes things up as he goes along. He has no credibility. From what I heard he even made a statement that he really didn’t care what the Bible said.
A Scriptural witness is one who tells the truth and is faithful to the Word and not some religion, church, school or cult. Scripture indicates that the two witnesses prophecy for 1260 days prior to “the great tribulation,” not during it. In fact, their death and immediate resurrection (3 and half days later), triggers the great tribulation that will continue for three and one half years afterward. Unless that “time is cut short” which I believe it will be.
Regarding the “FIRE.” In the Scriptures, fire is that which “purifies.” Therefore, the words that they speak are like “a refiner’s fire.” Those so consumed by that “fire” are purified and cleansed, which is a necessary state required to enter the Kingdom of God. Anything or anyone not cleansed and purified will have no part of the eternal life.
I make no claims of “greatness” or “position” and only hope and pray that what I write and speak will serve as a “refining fire” that will “consume and cleanse” millions of people and make them ready for the great life that has been revealed to our fathers and the prophets. If I felt otherwise then I am not doing right and should stop and repent and be cleansed. That never ends as long as we are in this flesh, does it?
